For the past 8 years we have been involved in planting, protecting and educating about the vital role that trees play at local level in Malawi and globally. We support Fisherman's Rest Community Projects (www.fromwales.org/tree-project) in working with local communities and schools to reforest mountain tops, river banks and protected forestry areas.

The Tree Planting Project works from grass roots upwards, providing vital reforestation education in primary schools, engaging with families, meeting with chiefs and partnering with government officials. Our aim is to support the local community to plant new trees, protect existing trees, and engage in more environmentally friendly cooking and farming methods.
